How do you use Air Scrubbers in Mold Remediation

Air scrubbers are an important tool in mold remediation, as they can help to capture and remove airborne mold spores that can spread throughout a building and potentially cause health problems.

To use air scrubbers in mold remediation, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the mold-infested area and set up a containment using plastic sheeting to isolate the area from the rest of the building. The containment should have a single entrance with an airlock to prevent mold spores from escaping.
  2. Set up the air scrubber inside the containment area and turn it on. The air scrubber should be placed in a central location and positioned so that it can draw in air from all areas of the containment.
  3. Allow the air scrubber to run continuously during the mold remediation process. The air scrubber will capture mold spores and other airborne contaminants, preventing them from spreading to other areas of the building.
  4. Monitor the air scrubber regularly to ensure that it is working properly, and the filters are clean. Replace the filters as needed.
  5. Once the mold remediation process is complete, leave the air scrubber running for an additional 24-48 hours to capture any remaining airborne mold spores.
  6. After the air scrubber has been running for the appropriate amount of time, turn it off and remove it from the containment area.

By using air scrubbers in mold remediation, you can effectively capture and remove airborne mold spores, helping to prevent the spread of mold and protect the health of building occupants.
